La Tour de l'Horloge, siège du Pays d'art et d'histoire de Riom Limagne et Volcans, est classé Monument Historique depuis 1862. Témoin privilégié de l’histoire de la ville, elle a traversé les siècles qui lui ont donné sa silhouette actuelle.
The Tour de l'Horloge, home to the head office of the Pays d'Art et d'Histoire de Riom, was awarded Historic Monument status in 1862. Formerly a belfry, it was rebuilt in the Renaissance era on its mediaeval foundations. An octagonal tower with a clock face, ornamental escutcheon, chain of the Order of Saint Michael and salamander of Francis I of France. The dome was fitted in 1785. An exhibition centre showing items pertaining to Riom's heritage, tactile models and a scale model of the old town centre. Enjoy the amazing view with viewpoint indicator at the top of the tower!
