A magnificent panorama can be seen from the rock, an orientation table will allow you to identify the Cantal mountains. This rock was the place of execution of the women sentenced to hanging at the Bailiwick of Vic sur Cère.
This basalt table at the top of the Col de Curebourse is the result of a relief inversion. Metal hooks were fixed to the rock face, with a rope attached to each hook. The condemned man, after a last look at this sublime panorama, was precipitated into the void.
From Vic sur Cère, head towards St Clément. At the Col de Curebourse, there's a parking lot on the right just after the hotel. The trailhead is located in the hotel parking lot (40 min. return walk).
You can also reach us on foot from Vic-sur-Cère: from Pont de Cayrol, take the path to join the D54
