The Pas de Cère Gorges is a protected natural site and part of the Espace Naturel Sensible network.
There is a choice of two walking trails to access the gorges.
- Access along a marked-out trail from the visitors’ car park along the RN122 main road between Vic sur Cère and Thiezac: “The mysterious gorges of the River Cère” trail provides information along the way about the geology of this site that was first formed over 7 million years ago.
- Access along a marked-out trail from the car park in the hamlet of Salvanhac just outside Vic sur Cère: Follow the clues and play detectives on the “Mystery at the Grand Hotel” trail. You’ll also find out all about the history of the site that was so popular with visitors at the Belle Epoque taking the waters in the spa town of Vic sur Cère.
