This chapel is built on top of the Ronesque rock table overlooking the valley of the River Goul and the Carladès area. The view from here is absolutely breathtaking!
This site was mentioned as far back as the 15th century and the original building, dedicated to Saint James, was a Priory for the nomination of the Order of St Géraud of Aurillac. It was sadly destroyed and the neo-Romanesque style chapel you see today was built west of the site of the original church in 1900.
