This is most probably the oldest church in the Carladès area and was originally built in the 10th century. It was sadly destoyed more than once and so the church has been rebuilt several times.
Nearly all of the church dates back to the 15th century, apart from a column and several fragments of stonework that date from the 12th century and that are kept in the first two bays. There is a single nave with four side aisles, making way to the chancel with five different-sized apses. The church has a rib vault ceiling. Five chapels dating back to the same period are built between the buttresses. The 12th century doorway is under a huge porch above which stands the bell tower.
