This little village has a lot of charm. You will be surprised by the number of castles and manor houses in and around the village, the best known of which being Pesteils Castle that stands proud above the village.
This village in the Carladès area is rich in castles and manor houses to admire or visit. The village has grown from the hillside on the north side of the valley of the River Cère. On one side there are the fields that are very prone to flooding and on the other the Costes stream that used to provide hydropower for all the watermills in the village.
The village is located, in part, along the main road between Aurillac and St Flour.
