The epicenter of the city is lined with several monuments from different periods.
The Saint-Pierre-des-Minimes church was built in the 17th century in Jesuit style and crowned with a dome in the 19th century. The theater was also built in the 19th century, on the site of a former cloth market. The department store known as "les galeries de Jaude", based on the famous Parisian examples, dates from the early 20th century. Two statues stand on the square: Nanteuil's General Desaix and Bartholdi's Vercingétorix. The square has been elegantly redesigned in the 21st century to accommodate the tramway line.
