Did you know? This charming church is home to the statue of a Miraculous Virgin credited, so legend says, with performing many miracles.
The village church was built by the inhabitants of Pailherols from 1517 to 1527. The wall bell tower and the first two north chapels were added in 1646. The south chapels, the south facing doorway that replaced the original doorway on the east side and the sacristy were built between 1684 and 1687. The church was restored in 1898/1899 by Aigueparses and in 1902 the inside decoration of the church was done under Granier.
The church is home to the statue of a Miraculous Virgin that a village trader bought around 1527 and had blessed. The statue is credited, so legend says, with performing many miracles and the church consequently became an important place of pilgrimage.
