Opening announced at the beginning of July 2019. Museum of the vine with a collection of hand-forged century-old tools. History of the vine in Auvergne. Labelled by the Ministry of Agriculture.
In the 19th century, the Puy de Dôme won third place among French producers of a precious liquid: wine.
All this part of the heritage is found in an authentic vat room where each tool on display is a testimony to the hard work of the winegrowers, at a time when men worked as much as animals.
Museum of Rural Life: From sowing to harvesting.
With this second museum, nostalgics of a life forever gone, enter on the same level into a world of work more than a century old. It's all here.
The Atelier du Charron with its forge and its huge black bellows, the panoply complete with all the instruments necessary for ploughing.
Then it is time for the work on fields, areas, harrows, forks, made of wood, still used in our region a century ago, as they were in the Middle Ages.
This rich collection of tools is complemented by yellowed documents and photos by time, plunges the visitor into the heart of his roots.
The entire range of agricultural instruments used in the past completes this exhibition.
