The beautiful and Loges d'Arsène holiday flat in the heart of Aurillac was refurbished in 2019, its inspiration drawn from the work of the Auvergne poet Arsène Vermenouze. The flat is vast and can comfortably accomodate up to 6 people, making it ideal for families or friends.
It has all the facilities for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The property is full of character (with open stonework, beams and traditional brickwork) combined with modern features. There are two self-contained bedrooms and a large, cosy living area where you can enjoy your meals (basic groceries provided on arrival) and prepare your escapades in and around Cantal.
Things to see and do nearby: The Volcano Museum, the Gorges of the River Jordanne, Pesteils Castle, Anjony Castle, Salers, Tournemire, Puy Mary (1787 metres high), the Saint Étienne-Cantalès lake, the Dordogne River, Le Lioran winter sports and summer leisure resort (located at an altitude of between 1250 - 1850 metres), Figeac, the River Lot valley, Garabit Viaduct, Saint-Flour and the Aubrac plateau. All sorts of outdoor pursuits activities are available in the local vicinity (hiking, swimming, cycling, canoeing, winter sports) as well as farm visits, cheese making, etc.
