A testimony to belief, crosses mark a large number of crossroads
roads and streets.
The route winds its way past a dozen of the twenty or so crosses in the old wine-growing village of Yssac-la-Tourette. Maltese crosses, epidemic crosses, square crosses, wayside crosses, mission crosses and crossroads crosses, some with carvings and engraved bases, are mostly built of Volvic stone.
