Are you rather fond of swimming, fishing, walking or other outdoor sports? You will enjoy The Puech des Ouilhes peninsula, which is part of Lacapelle Viescamp, bathed by the Saint-Etienne-Cantalès leisure lake, and located in leafy surroundings. It offers aquatic and outdoor activities.
With a restricted floating area with a paddling pool, a swimming pool and a bar terrace, the bathing is fun (and supervised!).
Do you feel taking an outing on the lake? You can rent windsurfing boards, catamarans and many others nautical equipment! You can also have private or grouped lessons and if you have a motorboat, you can just pay the tax of navigation right.
Puech des Ouilhes beach, fitted with picnic and children’s play areas, is also the departure for walking, cycling or mountain biking paths. There is a lovely 1km wooden footpath on stilts all around the peninsula for families and disabled visitors. Along the way, there are little stonewalls, artificial barriers, tables and benches so that you can take all your time and admire the lovely views over the lake.
Every summer nights, a show of sounds and lights starts from the Water Sport Centre and all around the peninsula. You will discover the natural heritage from a new angle thanks to lights and sounds moods: a plant, a cove, a movement of branches… unnoticed in broad daylight! The walking, from 45 minutes to 1h, is done according to different luminous and sounds ambiances.
The entire site is accessible to disabled visitor: paths, sanitary facilities, sailing activity, floating terrace, shops…
The local authority, la CABA, has done the Puech des Ouilhes' amenities as part of Centre of Rural Excellence as those of Rénac and Espinet beaches – St. Gérons.
Bathing, nautical activities, launching arrangements … activities for whole family!
