Private mansion in the historic center of Clermont.
This mansion was built in the former Rue des Nobles for Charles-Antoine de Chazerat, the last Intendant of Auvergne. It opens onto a remarkable oval courtyard, punctuated by fluted pilasters. The white and gold salon d'honneur is adorned with gypseries. It opens onto a garden. The vestibule is painted in trompe-l'oeil. The ensemble is the finest example of 18th-century neoclassical architecture in Auvergne. It houses the Direction régionale des Affaires culturelles.
