Description détaillée

Fortified as early as the 12th century, the village of Marcolès was built in the 15th century in the centre of a circular enclosure which was entered through two gates opening onto the Rue Longue. Along this street are some beautiful Renaissance facades. The carriérous, picturesque lanes, will lead you to the church of St. Martin, an imposing building in the southern Gothic style which also contains a rich statuary. This path will lead you to discover the surroundings of Marcolès, in the shade of the forest.
