On this stage of the GTMC mountain bike race, the atmosphere is 100% Caussenarde, at the crossroads of the Causses de Blandas, Campestre and Larzac! You enter Aveyron via the Col de la Barrière and the village of Sauclières, with its cobbled streets. The GTMC route then climbs to the plateau via an old railroad line.
You enter the Larzac region, in the heart of the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park, whose landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pass Puech du Bassel (916m) and its 360° viewpoint. Finally, we arrive at La Couvertoirade, a Templar and Hospitaller site listed as one of France's most beautiful villages.

- Animaux acceptés : Although not recommended, some mountain bikers may travel with pets. In such cases, it will be essential to carry the animal or keep it on a leash on sections of the route shared with motorized traffic, as well as on trails where the presence of animals is regulated. On paths where the presence of animals is forbidden by decree (in National Parks in particular), mountain bikers will have to find an alternative route on paths where the presence of animals is not regulated, or temporarily separate themselves from their animal on the stages concerned.
