This steeply graded stage of the GTMC mountain bike race marks the route's entry into the Gard region. The 1,000-metre ascent takes mountain bikers to beautiful views of the southern Cévennes through typical, unspoilt villages: Salagosse, Mars, Bréau, Esparon, Molières, Avèze. Special mention goes to the finish in Le Vigan, with its narrow streets, easy single-track and riverside paths. We're also impressed by the sporty descents, most of them on single-track trails.

- Animaux acceptés : Although not recommended, some mountain bikers may travel with pets. In such cases, it will be essential to carry the animal or keep it on a leash on sections of the route shared with motorized traffic, as well as on trails where the presence of animals is regulated. On paths where the presence of animals is forbidden by decree (in National Parks in particular), mountain bikers will have to find an alternative route on paths where the presence of animals is not regulated, or temporarily separate themselves from their animal on the stages concerned.
