This beautiful holiday home is part of an Auvergnate farmhouse,where the owners also live. It is situated in the hamlet of Cubes, 3km from Saint-Gervais-d'Auvergne. The farmhouse is built against the mountain.
It forms a belvedere overlooking a wooded valley that descends towards the Sioule. Lost at the end of a dead end road, surrounded by 3000 m² of land, La Trouvaille is sun-oriented and can accommodate 6 people. Internet (wifi), sauna area with swimming pool.
Part of the barn and the stable have been transformed into a comfortable and modern gîte while preserving the old character of the house. In the large living room with kitchen area you will find 2 sofas, an armchair, and the dining table with 6 chairs.
The living room opens onto the garden in front of the house through a large glass door, while behind, crossing the cellar you will access the terrace furnished with garden furniture and the barbecue and small swimming pool.
From the living room, you will reach the first floor by a very surprising old freestone staircase. On the first floor are the two bedrooms, the bathroom with shower, sink and W.C and another independent W.C.
The first bedroom has two single beds. The second bedroom has a large double bed and a single bed. All beds are equipped with duvets and pillows. In each room you will find a wardrobe with hanging space.
For enthusiasts there is a Finnish sauna available, with a cooling area and hot foot baths.
And of course outside there is the terrace with its small swimming pool for the ultimate refreshment...
In all the rooms there are electrical heaters for off-season periods.
You can also use the pellet stove (wood) in the living room. very pleasant and practical for colder days.
There are a few kilos of wood at your disposal for the day of arrival.
The consumption of 10 kWh electricity per day is included in the rental price. Additional consumption (heating or sauna) will be charged separately.
In the house there is a free internet connection at your disposal so you can use the landline phone (via internet). Cellphone netword, G3 or G4, has unfortunately not (yet) arrived at the location.
But of course you have all the possibilities by WhatsApp, Skype etc.
If you wish, we can do the final cleaning for you at a cost of 50 €.
You can bring your own linen, or rent it on demand.
