This little lake formed with peatland saw its surface grow to 10ha thanks to the creation of a dyke on the “stream of the lake” which supply this wetland before reaching the Couze of Ardes 1,5km away.
The fish population is quite diversified. In addition to the tench, rattan, dowel and minnows that have been present since the creation of the water body, the fauna is complemented by native fario trout that descend from the creek and rainbow trout that are dumped at different stages (from the fruit to the adult). All the fishing methods specific to mountain lakes are of interest to Roche Orcine: bombette, spoon and English fishing can be profitable.
