Near Issoire, the lakes of the Mayères, covering an area of about thirty hectares, were created by the extraction of aggregates. Fishing with the blow in all its forms: big rod, English or feeder.
These two lakes linked together by a concrete pipe let move fishes and are different. The first, called “trou du sapin” is open only for fishing. A path goes along these two lakes, so the access to them is easy. Fishing can be practiced only from the bank (boating and swimming are forbidden). The closing periods are the same than the ones of the 2nd category. Tap fishing under all its forms: big fishing rod, English-style fishing or feeder. Even if you don’t practice fishing, a walk on the site will allows you to discover a wild and diverse fauna.
