Le Bancal's objective is to promote local life, maintain social ties at the local level, and promote, set up and develop actions in favor of short consumption channels.
Organizer of activities, place of life and resources, bar and depot of producers since 2015, the Bancal is a place of conviviality and sharing open to all.
Le Bancal is managed by a non-profit association, "Prod'acteurs en Combrailles", which aims to promote local life, maintain social ties at local level, and promote, set up and develop actions in favor of short chains of consumption.
Le Bancal hosts various events (concerts, screenings, debates, markets, etc.) organized by active members of the association, and supports the creation of workshops and events aimed at transmitting knowledge and sharing pleasures.
During the opening hours of the place, books, magazines, games and musical instruments are available to everyone: our living space aims to allow discovery and encounters.
The community bar offers alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks for sale, and occasional catering depending on the activities. The profits make it possible to operate the place; the people behind the counter are all volunteers. Alcohol and catering are reserved for members (annual membership at free price).
Finally, it is a place of sale of local productions: local producers and craftsmen present their agricultural and artisanal and/or organic products on consignment.
Joining the association is a way to support it, and the first step to contributing to it. Another possible step: come to the open meeting on the third Friday of the month at 6 p.m., where everyone's ideas and energies are welcome!
