Circuit VTT n°26 : Sentier du Pré Clau
This family-friendly itinerary takes you along a Roman road and through the Bois de Chabridet. Around Pré Clau, the route descends into the Pierrefort bocage which gives the landscape its full dimension.

Start in front of the Pierrefort Tourist Office opposite the church. Follow the D.990 towards Saint-Flour.
1 - Itinerary not practicable from November to April: snow cover. After the gendarmerie, turn right and follow the rue de Bellevue straight ahead in the housing estate.
2 - At the HLM, turn left up the hill towards the Grande Halle and then Saint-Gervais.
3 - At the Saint-Gervais stadium follow the Roman road, Bois de Chabridet.
4 - Go straight through the wood.
5 - At the end of the wood take the path on the right and follow the edge
of the forest.
6 - The path leaves the wood and goes down towards Pré Clau.
7 - At the crossroads, take the second path on the right. The itinerary
finds N° 2, 4, and 5. Follow this direction which leads back to Pierrefort. Beware of the steep descent from Saint-Gervais to the post office.
