Dedicated to St. Mary, the chapel was erected on the foundations of a former pilgrimage chapel in the medieval times.
Standing on a former volcanic mouth, it has been the site of a market that takes place once a year on June 8th and has done so since the Middle Ages. The panoramic views are wonderful, opening out to the Dordogne gorges and the Monts de Correze to the West, to the Sancy Massif to the North, and the Cantal volcanic mountains to the East. Take a look at the orientation table.
