Located in the flowered town of Miremont, this welcoming campsite offers many possibilities for discovery. There is the Museum "Back to the past" (open 9 am-6pm) in the heart of the village, which traces the way of life of our ancestors.. Also the 12th century church and its snail cemetery (a known phenonemen in France, a place where all the snails come to die). Multiple hiking trails. There is a lake offering many possibilities for nautical activities and water sports for the whole family. Nearby, the Vélorail des Fades provides access to the the highest railway viaduct in the world at the time of its construction (1909). The velorail takes you across the viaduct and through three astonishing tunnels. Also nearby, the Rochegrande and Andrivet viewing points offer superb panoramas of the dam and reservoir, the Sioule Gorges, and the Pontaumur church, the great organ of which is the exact reproduction, unique in the world, of the ancient organs of Jean-Sébastien Bach in Arnstadt.
