Behind its Renaissance façade, the Maison Consulaire, once the residence of the Douët family, houses a cabinet of curiosities with an intimate, authentic charm.
Beneath its Renaissance facade, the building houses works of fine and
decorative arts gathered by Alfred Douët (1875-1952: paintings of French,
Italian and Flemish Schools, sculptures from the XV to the XIX centuries,
precious medieval metalwork, Renaissance enamels, earthenware, tapestries,
an arms collection and furniture). The building and its collections are of
remarkable interest.
