If you go down a little further, you will see a fountain with a fine sculpture above it by the artist Nathalie Charrier, who took inspiration from the feminine side of the river and the water. She created a sandstone mermaid with gold elements and sparkling flakes from the River Senouire….
You can fish in the River Senouire. There are specific regulations, with a departmental fishing licence available from the "La Traille" newsagent's or from La Chaise-Dieu Tourist Information Office.
