Horloge à billes

The village square is home to the world's largest ball-and-water clock. Occupying a space of over 30 m², the clock is 95% made of wood.

The force of the water that drives the wheel and that of the huge balls that roll down the complicated mechanism, drive the colossal clock, renovated in 2017, which is of great precision.

Lavoine's clock is highly original; there are only three in the world: in San Francisco (USA), Munich (Germany) and Lavoine's is the largest. This clock is the result of work carried out at the engineering school in Epinal (Vosges) in 2000.
