Take a self-guided tour of the church, medieval garden and small-scale rural heritage in the village, a Cluniac site and village of character, with the help of information panels (ten reading points).
This village of character was built around its 11th-century Cluniac church. On the south side of the building, a medieval-inspired garden and the Prior's house, known as Maison Gamet, tell the story of the Cluniacs' settlement and life at the Arronnes priory.
The two statues of Saint Léger and Saint Pierre on the façade of the 11th-century Romanesque church of Saint-Léger (ISMH) welcome visitors. On the south side of the building, a medieval-inspired garden and the Prior's house, known as Maison Gamet, tell the story of the Cluniacs' settlement and life at the Arronnes priory. Other places of interest include the Notre-Dame de la Paix oratory, the Bargoin, Rongères and Giraud houses, the bâchasse, the moto-batteuse, the "trou à rouir", the château and the Sichon, a small river that runs through the village. While all these sites are close to the church, the visit can be completed with a visit to the "Ray de la Chaise" site, 500 m from the village: three reading tables on the history of the valley and the village overlook the priory site.
Exhibitions are held in season at the Maison de la Paysannerie (Giraud).
The church is open all year round, and the Maison du Prieur (Maison Gamet) can be visited by appointment.
